Shaba National Reserve

Shaba lies east of Samburu and is known for its dramatic landscapes of volcanic rock, springs, and acacia woodland. It’s famed as the location where Joy Adamson released Penny the leopard. Wildlife includes leopards, cheetahs, and abundant birdlife. It’s quieter than Samburu, perfect for intimate safari experiences.
